Inspired by her love of beautiful jewels and minerals, from a very young
age, Roberta Degener collected rocks on the camping trips taken around the United States with her grandparents.
She and her grandfather would tumble the rocks in her grandfather's garage to create beautiful stones.
After a long successful career in commercial real estate, Roberta Degener decided to engage her creative ideas
and founded Monarch Jewels. The name was inspired by her grandmother's love of butterflies, nature and animals.
Each of Roberta's unique creations contains a signature butterfly; be it a tiny butterfly charm dangling from the
clasp, a butterfly bead incorporated into the design, or a magnificent butterfly pendant. While she is the primary
designer of these beautiful one-of-a-kind jewelry creations, she is not the only designer.
Inspired by their mother's love of jewels and her passion and drive to build a business, and like the transformation
of a caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly, her two sons, Matthew and Ryan, have transformed their ideas into
unique one-of-a-kind jewelry creations of their own.
Roberta and her two sons are committed to hand selecting fine and natural semi precious stones and minerals and
creating quality unique one-of-a-kind jewelry creations. Their love of animals is evidenced by their commitment
to supporting charitable foundations dedicated to the issues concerning animals.
